So what’s the point of this whole Week of Youth & Young Adult Evangelism?
The point is to get you started this week on what you can do everyday, live as a disciple of Jesus with the priorities of Jesus, relevant now, inside and outside of the church.
The point is to get our church to understand that youth and young adults have great gifts today. If these gifts are used to the fullest and endorsed by the parents and all generations of the church, it can bring the church some awesome results, and that would definitely be a revival.
The point is that we have lots of our kids, youth, and young adults who are no longer in a relationship with Jesus, they have left our churches, and many are out there waiting for us to go back and get them. While we sit in our pews once or twice a week and tell each other that Jesus is coming soon, Jesus is wishing that someone would go out and get them, just like the Father did with the Prodigal Son.
The point is that God wants youth and young adults now, God wants the ones in the church and the ones outside the church. God is not into the “maybe one day in the future…” He wants you activated today. You have been divinely called to serve and lead. That’s why the theme for this week is: Our Future is Now.
I am praying to the Holy Spirit that He will use you with power as you live, serve, lead, preach, and reach. Have an awesome week, but please remember, this is what God created you to do for living!
